On the right hand corner of the original part of the tollhouse on the B6471, 33 West Road, Haddington is this Historic Building plaque.

Old toll house
At the west end of Haddington, St Laurence Cottage on the B6471, 33 West Road, is Listed 'C' - 18C single storey house, originally a tollhouse. There are later additions to the right and rear of the building. The tollhouse was on the Great Post Road from Edinburgh.
