Hailes Street
Early Victorian street backing on to the site of the former village of Wrychtishousis (Wrights' Houses). The lane to the right of the nearest gable-end dates from the time of the village which was largely demolished to create the present main road between Toll Cross and Morningside.

Shops, Bruntsfield
Unfortunately Falko opened after I left the area. A very fine baker and coffee house, with some rather good cakes. They also have a branch in Gullane, a firm favourite.
