Former Chalmers Hospital, Lauriston Place
The former Chalmers Hospital after a major renovation which will see it open soon as a new sexual health clinic. George Chalmers was a plumber in the Canongate who died in 1836 and bequeathed £30,000 to the Dean and Faculty of Advocates to endow a new infirmary for the 'sick and hurt'. Image
