East Lothian Landscape - East Fortune Airfield - landing zone for microlights
View looking west from the point where the B1347 crosses the extended runway at East Fortune airfield (RNAS from August 1919, RAF from June 1940, closed in the postwar period and since 1975 home to the Museum of Flight). This part of the runway is used by microlight aircraft.

Ready for take off at East Fortune Airfield
East of Scotland Microlights provides training and air experience flights from this area of the airfield on the west side of the B1437. I watched a trainee pilot accompanied by an instructor in the microlight practice some take off and landing manoeuvres.
