Fingerpost At Drem
An old East Lothian County Council sign, with fingers showing which way to go. The third plate shows that it's two and three quarter miles to Dirleton. We don't get this level of accuracy in modern road signs.

Direction post, fingerpost
Near Drem railway station, this fingerpost is one of the few dated ones. The post was made at the Stanton Ironworks in 1933. The original 3 fingers were lost but East Lothian CC replaced them in the late 1990s. Unfortunately one of the replacement fingers has also been lost. This pointed to Mungoswells, Ballencrieff & Longniddry.
