The pink house is obviously 18th century, but I can't date the nearest cottage with the ball finials above door and windows and the curious little features on the ridge of the roof.

Corner of Cross Loan
'The Buildings of Scotland' says that this house "is probably of Cockburn's time, but only its scrolled skewputts escaped a dreadful recasting in about 1930". I had to look quite hard to find the skewputts, as they are hardly prominent.
