Track, Prestonpans
Leads through a gap in the houses off Preston Crescent to a large area of open land, used as an informal park. The railway to the Prestonlinks Colliery ran along the left hand side of this view before it closed and was replaced by Cockenzie power station.

Route of the Prestonlinks Colliery railway
The shallow gully next to the track behind the houses could be the remains of the trackbed. It ran within a few metres of here according to old maps. When the colliery closed the site was used for Cockenzie power station (background) which closed in March 2013.
