Mural of John Muir, Prestonpans
John Muir has dismounted and is enjoying a pint outside 'The Goth' pub in Prestonpans, across the road from here. At bottom left is an inscription: John Muir, born in Dunbar in 1838. Sent forth an idea which inspired the nation of America and indeed the world for generations to come. The least we can do is to stand him a pint of Fowlers. R Elliot In Memory and Honour
