Pipeline markers
These are located alongside the Newbridge to Queensferry cycle track, but similar markers are found in many places near here due to the proximity of the Hound Point tanker terminal Image nd the Dalmeny oil depot Image with underground pipelines connecting them.

Evening 'rush hour' at Dalmeny Railway Station
Platform 2 was busy with commuter trains from Edinburgh to Fife in the early evening and a train has just departed towards the Forth Rail Bridge as a Class 37 diesel 37685 'Loch Arkaig', towing a disabled K4 Class locomotive 61994 'The Great Marquess', heads towards Craigentinny Traction Maintenance Depot, Edinburgh. The steam locomotive had no coupling rods on the driving wheels.
