High Street
This is the main street of South Queensferry, a view mostly undefiled by the architectural vandalism and encroaching tarmacadam of the 20th century, or even of the 19th. Only the very necessary double yellow lines, and the occasional car which has managed to find a safe slot, mar the scene.

5 to 9 Edinburgh Road, Queensferry
Left to right, No 5 Craig View is Category C listed dated 1885 although there was a building on this site in 1856. Craigs View refers to its position overlooking a stone outcrop called The Craigs. No 7 is mid 19th century in its present form and also Category C listed and probably a remodelling of a building shown on the first OS map. No 9 and its boundary walls are Category B listed of late 17th century with later alterations. The fenestration is probably part of the later 18th century alterations.
