Kirkliston
Flooded field on the northern edge of Kirkliston. The road is closed due to the nearby motorway construction, but will soon reopen connecting Kirkliston to Queensferry. A useful link as Kirkliston is served by Queensferry High School.

Parallel shallow trenches in former farmland
Very noticeable from the M9, there are a number of wide shallow trenches in the fields between Kirkliston and the new motorway. Possibly an archaeological survey before house building.

Uncultivated fields between Kirkliston and the railway. There are a series of shallow trenches all over several large fields, possibly an archaeological survey prior to house building.

This is at the main crossroads in the middle of the village. The Co-op is on the ground floor of this new block with flats above and houses on either side.

Crossroads, Kirkliston
A new building with a shop on the ground floor on the crossroads at the centre of the village. The road going straight on was once the A9 until it was cut by a runway extension at Edinburgh Airport and also replaced by the M9.
