Lothian Street, Rosewell
A row of ex-miners cottages. It is relatively unusual to see brick-housing in Scotland; most bricks were made by the coal board and they were not of good enough quality to be left exposed to the elements, hence the ubiquitous Scottish harling of brick built houses.
