Bike path, Dalkeith Bing
The landscaped spoilj heap of Dalkeith Colliery. It has been hollowed out and now conceals a waste facility. A new path has been built to link the Pencaitland Railway Path with Dalkeith and Route 1 of the National Cycle Network.

Smeaton Bing
This is the west side of a large waste disposal site. It has been planted with trees and bushes, and the roadside verge has been planted with native bushes. In a few years the tip will barely be visible.
