Pond and building site by Queen Margaret University
This field between the A1 and railway has been unused for some time. Work is now beginning including building a new junction allowing access to and from both carriageways of the A1.

Rosemary Beetle (Chrysolina americana), Musselburgh
Not a native British species, although it originates in southern Europe, not America, despite the common name. Now quite frequent in southern England but still unusual in Scotland, although these presumably arrived on the Rosemary plant they are inhabiting.
