Roman Bridge
Crossing the River Esk. The original Roman Bridge over the River Esk is said to have been built by the Romans in the 6th century and a bridge has been in the same position since that time, though the bridge has been rebuilt in part and a third arch has been added. The bridge is still in use as it originally was, a foot bridge that the Romans used.

The Old Bridge at Musselburgh
The Auld Brig over the Esk is known locally as the 'Roman Bridge' because it is believed to be the spot where the Romans bridged the river some time after Agricola invaded Scotland in the 1st century AD.
