Prefabs, Moredun
Refurbished survivors from the crash building programme after WW2. Small quickly built houses appeared all over the country as a response to a severe housing shortage. Here they have been refurbished, or replaced by similar sized houses on the same plots. Taken on the edge of the square.

I can remember this being a rural view and the road being the A68. From near Craigmillar Castle past the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary towards Edmonstone Estate and the now renumbered A7.
