Storm damaged chimney on Ferniehill Drive
One of many roofs damaged by the storm of 3 January 2012. In this case the chimney has suffered, as have some of the ridge tiles - much of the skyline in the area is jagged with missing ridge tiles.

Gilmerton Society Hall
A meeting space at the crossroads in Gilmerton. It was Sunday morning and it was being used by a church with a full blooded service going on. They were not afraid of public singing.
