Ford over the Water of Leith

Ruts, Haughead
August 2008 was unremittingly wet. As a result agricultural work was held back as the waterlogged ground prevented use of heavy machinery. As soon as it was dry enough this field was harvested, leaving the ruts.

The Water of Leith at Haughhead Farm
Passing under the bridge that has replaced the ford. The green I-girder was the support for the footbridge that bypassed the ford Image Note the field drain outlet in the bank discharging into the stream. There was one opposite as well.
