Builder's tablet, Ashley Terrace
There are some striking, albeit quite plain examples of builders' tablets along the row of tenements that constitute the eastern side of the terrace. This one at the southern end evidently refers to the Coronation of Edward VII, thus revealing the date of building as 1901.

Lockhart Bridge, Union Canal, Edinburgh
Lockhart Bridge crosses the Union Canal near Harrison Park in Edinburgh and carries a street known as Ashley Terrace; indeed, it is more often called by the latter name. In the foreground the Edinburgh Canal Society's rowing boats await their customers.
