Jackdaw in Braidburn Valley Park
One of a group of Jackdaws [Corvus monedula] feeding on the grass - there were a lot of bibionid flies around [those black ones with dangly legs - St Mark's or March Flies] - their larvae live in the soil and may well be what the jackdaws were feeding on.
