"This Art's a load of old rubbish!"
Gillespie Crescent residents do have a strange knack of creating surprising works of art out of their refuse. This Dadaist-style collage is presumably the result of a student clearing out his flat of mementoes of 'a really good night out', or perhaps having a twinge of conscience about the cost to the taxpayer of renewing missing signage. I just hope nobody drowned from not being forewarned.

Snowfall, Gillespie Crescent
The apartment blocks to the left are sheltered housing for the elderly, built on the former site of James Gillespie's Hospital. The tower of the Bruntsfield Church in Leamington Terrace can be seen directly behind. The other two towers beyond the trees belong to Boroughmuir High School at Viewforth.
