City of London, Ye Olde Watling
Historic pub at the corner of Watling Street and Bow Lane. Internally, L-shaped bar with drinking area at front, with dining in a back room. Wooden beams with drinking mottoes, games machine. 8 cask ales were on offer at my visit. According to an information board, Wren might have built the pub to house builders at St. Paul's Cathedral after the Fire of London, and Wren had a drawing room upstairs.
