Dingley Place, Finsbury
There is a web of tightly packed streets in the triangle created by City Road and Old Street; this is Dingley Place which leads to Dingley Road.

Shoreditch: The former Princess Alice public house
It took me a solid half hour of searching on the internet to find any reference to, and thereby identify, this long-closed pub at 21 Dingley Road, at its junction with Dingley Place! The problems were that firstly I did not know that Dingley Road was formerly known as York Road, a change that I subsequently found out must have taken place at some time between 1896 and 1920 judging by the old Ordnance Survey maps, and secondly that a small section of the original pub fascia is exposed to read the letters "CHANT &", which I mistakenly thought was part of the pub name. With hindsight this is probably part of a phrase "Wine Merchant &"... Whatever, the pub is closed, its subsequent use as a mini-cab office has ceased, and the building is sadly derelict.

Dingley Place, Finsbury
A cleaner appears to be mopping the doorway to the old warehouse building on Dingley Place. To the right is the now derelict Princess Alice pub, which has evidently also seen service as a minicab office.
