Passing Alley, off St John's Lane, EC1
Before there were many public toilets, sneaking into a quiet corner was the only way to deal with a full bladder, and out-of-the-way alleys and corners would become known for this usage. Passing Alley, here, is clearly a Victorian renaming of something originally called Pissing Alley.
