Station Road, Chingford
Chingford was merely a small village until the arrival of the railway in 1873. It subsequently expanded, firstly as something of a resort due to its location on the edge of Epping Forest, and then as a commuter town - there is a still a frequent service from here into Liverpool Street. This view was taken at the station entrance looking across to the Station House pub - formerly the Thomas Willingale.
