Badger Street, Lye
Once a residential area on the outskirts of Lye, now industry has intruded on all sides and left the remaining housing in a rather mangled state. The houses themselves are still moderately attractive, surprisingly, but living literally opposite an iron castings foundry probably would not be particularly fun.

The Cafe
Handily placed at the corner of Bott Lane and Dudley Road. Closed for refurbishment when I visited, but doubtless soon to serve the finest grease in the area.

Shell fuel station, Lye
Positioned on the junction between A4036 Dudley Road and Badger Street. Behind this are, for some reason, a collection of old construction cranes, positioned somewhere within a collection of private houses, car parks and low quality HMO conversions.
Google Street View suggests that these cranes are sited in an old-fashioned car mechanic compound on Engine Lane, with the owner evidently keen on collecting a variety of transport antiquities.
