Woodland track to Wombourne in Staffordshire
Looking north-north-east towards Bridgnorth Road and Wombourne. This is one of the main paths through the Himley Plantation. It crosses the former railway about a quarter of a mile ahead.
The Himley Plantation dates from the 18th Century and was once part of the Estate of the Earl of Dudley. The main body of the site lies to the south of a dismantled railway line and is mature mixed high-forest woodland largely comprising of oak and sycamore. https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/
