View from Wrens Nest
The limestone is an inlier, older rocks poking out of the younder rocks. The younger carboniferous coal measures have been thrust downwards via faulting. The hill to the right (I Think, not 100%) is the remains of the Dudley volcano, only the base remains (dolerite).
