The Three Horse Shoes, 53 High Street
This Banks public house is currently, July 2008, closed with the windows boarded up. Quite a number of this brewery's pubs round the Shrops/Worcs border seem to be in the same position with their ultimate fate not yet disclosed. Image Update October 2012:- The building re-opened as a restaurant in February 2011. See:- Image

The Three Horse Shoes, 53 High Street, pub sign
Pub sign which is still displayed outside The Three Horse Shoes, which is currently closed (July 2008). The pub is on the main road to Cleehill and Ludlow, the A4117, which can be seen in the background. Update - October 2012:- The sign has now gone as the pub was converted into a restaurant called Addison's, which opened in February 2011. Image Image

Addison's on the High Street, Cleobury Mortimer
A gastro-pub I guess. The lettering on the external wall suggests that we should 'eat and drink with friends'. Presumably after entering, ordering and taking a table or seat. I can't see the benefit of painting up pointless instructions or guidelines like this. The black boards display Addison's opening times and the blank one must be for that day's menu or specials. Which if listed, might tempt me.

Addison's (1), 53 High Street, Cleobury Mortimer
This building, on the corner of High Street and Childe Road, used to be a public house called the Three Horseshoes. The pub had closed on or before July 2008. It then remained empty for a long time, although at one point it looked as if it would suffer the common fate of many closed pubs and be turned into some kind of residential use. However, in February 2011, a new restaurant was opened here called Addison's, which seems to be doing well. Image Image
