This large empty shop was formerly occupied by H J Potts & Son who were an independent electrical retailer. Like so many others they seem to have gone out of business. On the left at Number 19a High Street is Flowers by Fiona, a florist.

H J Potts & Son, Electra House - signs at 18 High Street
Above the empty former premises of the electrical retailers, H J Potts & Son, can still be seen the firm's name and the name given to the building "Electra House". No doubt when a new use is found for these premises these signs will disappear. A year later the premises were in use as a cafe and the name had been changed to "London House". Image; Image
