One of the many minor unclassified roads that cross Catherton Common. The road coming in on the left is from Hopton Wafers. The common has been owned by Shropshire Wildflife Trust since 2009.

Welsh Mountain sheep, Catherton Common.
The upland breed of choice in the Clees. Notorious for being unenclosable, no hedge can hold them, they are ideal for turning thin pickings into quality lamb. The last of the heather bloom fades into seed in the background.
