Marlborough Drive is on the Areley Kings side of the River Severn. It has housing on one side and on the other are fields, leading in one direction down to the river. The road is on the southern boundary of the Wyre Forest district.

Marlborough Drive is on the southern edge of the Wyre Forest district. Starting from this road is a public bridleway giving access to the neighbouring fields with some excellent views. It also provides an opportunity to walk down to the River Severn.

This public bridleway comes out on a public road known as Larford Lane. The bridleway links to a network of footpaths, most of which are not marked as public rights of way, but nevertheless are much used by local people. It is possible to walk down to the River Severn from here by various routes, including via Larford Lane, although that is not the shortest.
