House sold in Churchill
Whoever has taken this on must be brave. Potentially a fine house in a very pleasant location, it is described by the estate agents as 'only suitable for cash purchasers in view of the extent of repair and refurbishment works required'. The guide price was £325,000.

Churchill Forge
Churchill Forge water mill was one of the last working water powered forge mills in Britain, and was until the early 1970s producing metal tools such as spades, shovels and ladles. It is a Grade II listed building. This view shows the main shaft driven by the larger of the two waterwheels. This originally drove tilt hammers by pegs projecting from the large rings on the shaft. It latterly worked machinery by belt drives. The red object in the background is part of a drop stamp.

It is a Grade II listed building. This shows a belt driven machine tool (possibly a slotting machine) worked by the larger waterwheel that can be seen through the hole in the wall on the right.
