New Signalling at Kidderminster Junction
A London Midland Class 172 diesel multiple unit No 172336 enters the stabling siding at Kidderminster Junction behind one of the new colour light signals to replace semaphore signals at this location. The cover with the X over the lenses shows train crews that this new signal is not yet in use.

Severn Valley Railway - 'Western Queen' outside Kidderminster carriage shed
This is a rare photograph as access was on a special guided tour and this location is not accessible with a usual lineside pass. The locomotive is also unusual because to celebrate the late Queen's platinum jubilee, D1062 Western Courier was rebranded as D1040 Western Queen, which had been scrapped long ago. It a class 52 diesel hydraulic locomotive and one of seven survivors.

Halfway down the Severn Valley Railway's carriage shed
The envy of the entire railway world, the SVR carriage shed is a third of a mile in length and can house many of the SVR's 60+ historic coaches. This is the half way point, looking towards Aggborough. Open to the curious during the Peep Behind the Scenes event.

Severn Valley Railway - carriage shed
This is claimed to be the biggest single storey building in Kidderminster and I can believe it. This is moving down from the platform to track level towards the far end where there are stored locomotive and carriages. This is a fantastic facility for the railway and helps keep the weather off rolling stock and allows for servicing and maintenance under cover. This was a special guided tour. The building is just not suitable for routine public access.
