The Digby monument, Sherborne Abbey, Dorset
Here is the superb monument to John Digby, Third and Last Earl of Bristol, and his two wives. He played an important part in throwing the county behind William of Orange at the time of the so called ‘Glorious Revolution’ in 1688 which led to the flight of King James II and the accession of William and Mary.
