Sherborne: The Wilderness
This struck me as an unlikely name for a small town-centre development of houses - perhaps it has some historical significance.

Sherborne: road signs of varying vintage in Long Street
Here we see a modern signpost directing through traffic up St. Swithin's Road, because Long Street ahead shortly becomes one-way in the opposite direction. Attached to the same pole is a fairly modern pedestrian direction sign of a fairly common design and a very old sign pointing towards the car park. From up close, it is just possible to discern the word FREE, which has been painted over at some point, in the white rectangle on the arrow. The Long Street name plate is quite old, too.

The Maltings - Sherborne
The former brewery overshadows the cottages in front. The Maltings in Long Street has now been developed into a residential block but still retains its industrial shape.
