not as rare as Edward VIII boxes. This one on Rhode Lane has the makers name W.T. Allen and Co, London. They were not the company that actually cast these items. They were sometimes cast in local foundries.

Uplyme: postbox № DT7 43, Rhode Lane
This Edward VII-reign postbox is at the northern end of the residential part of Rhode Lane. A track which is also a public footpath joins the road at this point.
