Lamp bracket on footpath to Marine Parade, Lyme Regis
The design of the bracket acknowledges the significance of this part of the Jurassic Coast as a source of many fossils including ammonites. It can be seen in a wider context here

Footpath to Marine Parade, Lyme Regis
The footpath takes a circuitous route to the Marine Parade from Cobb Road, a vertical descent of about 100 metres. On its way it passes a 'crazy golf' course visible in the background. At the left is the lamp bracket seen in more detail here

Lyme Regis: main car park
This car park at the top of Cobb Road is the main one for visitors to the town, with its easy access down to the harbour and beach at The Cobb, and just a short walk from the main town.
Indeed, I had done five laps of the car park just now before finally finding a space – having said that, the upside is the very reasonable single tariff of £1 which produces a ticket valid for the whole day.
