Information plaque on a Silver Street wall, Lyme Regis
Located here https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5807587 on the wall of Mariners Hotel & Restaurant. The plaque records that the street once led to a wood, silva in Latin, whence its name. The house was the home of the three Philpot sisters, famous early fossilists.
