Bridport: postbox № DT6 40, North Allington
This Elizabeth II-reign postbox is emptied finally at 4pm on weekdays and at noon on Saturdays. North Allington did have a post office until 13 January 1986, and it is possible that it was in the building behind the postbox.

172 - 178 North Allington
North Allington from Hospital Lane. Nos 172 -8 North Allington including at 172 the "Oddfellows Arms", one of the few unspoiled working men's pubs left. Palmers Ales.
In the 1895 Bridport Directory 172 is a beer seller, 174 a tailor, 176 a residence and 178 is not mentioned, though with the carriage arch and courtyard it was likely involved in some form of trade or industry.
