Hoopoe, Suckthumb Quarry, Portland
Not a particularly rare visitor these days but when one arrives and decides to stay and allow the photographers a few days to get a picture, it seems rude not to oblige the bird? This one calmly walked around the quarry looking for worms as a group of about 12 enthusiasts, followed it patiently; quickening their pace to get a closer view every time it disappeared behind a rock.
