HM Prison The Weare, Floating Prison, Portland Harbour
The Grey block in the centre of the picture is the prison. The prison is located in Portland Port (ex-Portland Royal Naval Dockyard). On the hillside above the port is a naval cemetery.

Former Navy Dockyard at Portland
The two conjoined white buildings were the dockyard offices of the former naval base which closed in 1959. They were built in the mid-nineteenth century and are Grade II-listed (List Entry Number: 1203099 http://www.heritagegateway.org.uk/Gateway/Results_Single.aspx?uid=1203099&resourceID=5 Heritage Gateway).

Former Naval Dockyard Offices, Portland
The two conjoined white buildings were the dockyard offices of the former naval base which closed in 1959. They were built in the mid-nineteenth century and are Grade II-listed (List Entry Number: 1203099 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1203099 Historic England).
The left-hand building, with the clock turret, appears to have lost its roof in the years since the Royal Dockyard closed in 1959.
