Cafe - National Sailing Academy, Portland
The cafe looks over the marina and Portland Harbour, a good place to sit outside on a warm and windless day!

Businesses by Portland Marina
In the centre of the photo is a baulk of timber which, if I remember correctly, was dredged from the harbour during construction of the marina. Its original purpose has not yet been figured out. We don't seem to have another photo of it. I'll get a closer view on my next visit.

View to shore facilities, Portland Marina
To the right is the marina office and onshore facilities for marina users – lots of toilets and showers. To its left is the café-bar 'The boat that rocks', with function spaces. To the left again are marina-related businesses including a chandlery, boat sales and another café. Monopitch roofs create a distinctive outline.

Commercial boats by Portland Marina
They carry skin-diving and sea-angling groups. The long dark object on the right is in fact two sections of Mulberry harbour from World War II, perhaps to screen naval operations in Portland Port, or to shelter from wind
