The Fox Inn at Corscombe, Dorset
This C17th thatched hostelry offers truly excellent food and accommodation in a setting reminiscent of Thomas Hardy's Wessex novels. Locals say drovers used to dip their sheep in the stream opposite whilst drinking cider in the inn!

At the bottom of the hill - Corscombe
The cottages facing were built in 2003. A little further on round the corner is The Fox Inn before the steep ascent up Court Hill to the village and beyond.
