Okeford Fitzpaine, The Royal Oak
Village pub at the corner of Lower Street and Castle Lane. Internally, traditional two-room layout with public bar and lounge, and a separate pool room at the back. Cask ales on offer at my visit: Greene King Abbot, Ringwood Best, Wadworth 6X. Darknoll Farmhouse, Okeford Fitzpaine
Late 18th century, brick built farmhouse covered with wisteria.
Wisteria was brought to Kew Gardens from China in 1816 and has become a favourite on cottages and old houses.
