Detached Church Porch
I theorise that this structure on Back Lane, Searby, immediately opposite the church is a detached porch. It is marked with a cross above the central column. The building in the background to the right is the Old School House, now a private residence.

Waggoners' Rest in Searby
This mid-nineteenth century building was once a shelter for local people waiting to ride wagons or stagecoaches to nearby Caistor and Brigg. In those days a journey of six miles could be an arduous undertaking.
