This small ridge and furrow field lies behind houses on the High Street. Along with the Church and ancient saxon settlement this field was the birthplace of our village.

Mosaic commemorating the crew of the Lancaster Bomber
Around the edge of the mosaic there are eight roundels with the names of the crew who were killed. In the centre, if you look closely, there are eight doves, each with a red poppy in its beak.
