Railway lines and houses near Retford station
This is view from the bridge carrying West Carr Road over the loop linking the main line to the Sheffield / Gainsborough line. A long goods train is on the main line with terraced houses on Station Road beyond. Almost everything in the picture is in square, but the viewpoint is over the gridline to the east.

Freight Train north of Retford Station
The Cottam - Kirby Thor Gypsum service is diverted via Retford ECML due to a line blockage on the direct route. The train has reversed at Whisker Hill junction and again at Retford station with a loco at either end.
