The road leading off to the right is Kirton Road. Once the red telephone kiosk was found all over but now with mobile phones they are mostly redundant.

Laughton Highland Drain in spate
The water level has dropped since earlier in the day when a thunderstorm deposited enough rain on already saturated land to cause a flash flood. Seconds after I took this picture the Police arrived to re-open the A159 though the road to Pilham remained closed.
