Church of All Saints, Gainsborough
The interior of the church looking east from the gallery. The current layout with the circular dais for the sanctuary reflecting the apse was installed in 2003 to bring the altar closer to the congregation. It also makes the church much more suitable for concerts. The modern chandeliers complement the historic chandelier http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5557260 of 1724 above the sanctuary.

Church of All Saints, Gainsborough
The marble Georgian font with its cherubs' heads has had a chequered career, moving around the church at different times. In the mid 19th century it was supplanted by a new font and relegated to use as a credence table, but with the rearrangement of the church in the mid 20th century it resumed its original function in a small baptistery area close to the sanctuary. It was moved again to its current location in 2003.
